Why do I need Fire Safety Training?

The changes in Fire Safety law came into force in October 2006 from when the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 was introduced. Since this date, fire certificates were abolished and the responsibility for fire safety whilst using a business premises was placed fully with the business owner. All employers have a legal obligation to ensure all staff members are now fully trained in fire safety to protect their staff and customers. To understand your fire safety responsibilities and how to perform these duties, we recommend you attend this course.

Course Overview

Our fire safety training courses provided in Kent and surrounding areas can be tailored to meet your requirements ensuring you meet the legal obligations placed on you by the current fire legislation. Our fire safety training is aimed at all employees to assist them in identifying and reducing any risks that could cause a fire in the workplace.

Where appropriate our courses are reinforced with a practical demonstration, including a live fire demonstration, in which delegates are able to extinguish live fires using a range of different extinguishers.

With three courses to choose from we can cover the roles of the fire warden, liaison with the fire service, action on discovering fire, fire safety legislation, the chemistry of the fire, common causes of fire, fire safety precautions, fire drills and evacuation and how to use fire extinguishers.
