• The role of the first aider
• Managing an emergency
• Health and safety (first aid) regulations
• Communication and casualty care
• Resuscitation (adult and child CPR)
• Automated External Defibrillation (AED) Instruction
• Choking (adult and child)
• Fainting
• Asthma
• Poisoning
• Control of Bleeding
• Bone, muscle and joint injuries
• Seizures
• Burns and scalds
• Anaphylaxis
• Chest pains (including heart attack)
• Shock
• Head injuries
• Spinal injuries
• Eye injuries
• Stroke
• Unconscious casualty
Course Duration
Two days (12 Training and Contact Hours).
Assessment
Continuous observation by the trainer along with trainees having to fill out Individual Learning records.
Certification
