Emergency Lighting
The primary purpose of Emergency Lighting is to illuminate escape routes, but it is also used to light up signs, safety equipment and areas of high risk or where there may be dangerous equipment that needs to be safely shutdown before leaving the building.
Emergency lighting operates automatically when the lighting circuit loses mains power supply to enable safe evacuation of the building. Emergency lights have a backup power supply, (usually built in batteries), that requires periodic test to ensure that the lights will function correctly when needed.
Alliance Fire Safety Ltd can provide, advice on the locations, number and the types of emergency lights required for your premises. We can also test, repair and maintain all types of emergency lighting systems to help keep your site safer.
If needed, we will also be happy to assist with training you to carry out routine monthly inspections. And we offer a monthly as well as a six monthly and annual inspection service.
Having an engineer carry out emergency lighting tests while already on site doing other service, such as fire alarm maintenance, is often a more efficient use of time and therefore can save you money. Ask about a combined rate for multiple services.
